A Chicago native and dual graduate of Drake University (BS Business Administration) and Northwestern University (BS Civil Engineering), Michael Peters moved to Florida in 1975 to embark on a successful career in the construction industry. With a hands-on approach, he gained expertise in every trade, earning recognition as one of the state’s youngest certified general contractors. In 1977, Michael founded our sister company, DMI Homes, a highly successful home builder that has built thousands of homes across Southwest Florida. Discovering the need for an experienced general contractor in custom residential and commercial construction, he established The Triad Group in 1981. Most recently, Michael led the expansion of services with the creation of Triad Group Roofing, a division of The Triad Group, further strengthening our ability to protect what matters most. Michael’s exceptional qualifications and decades of hands-on experience in the Florida construction industry make him a remarkably skilled general contractor.

Though not a Florida native, Marla J. Peters has lived most of her life in Fort Myers. A product of local public schools, she holds degrees from Edison Community College and the University of South Florida (BA Business Administration). Marla is a Florida Licensed Certified Public Accountant and a Florida State Certified Building Contractor. With nearly 20 years of experience in public accounting and executive roles in the construction supply business, she joined The Triad Group as Vice President and is also President of DMI Homes. Today, she plays a key role in overseeing operations for Triad Group Roofing, a division of The Triad Group, bringing her extensive financial and construction management expertise to support the company’s growth. Marla’s education and over 30 years of industry experience uniquely position her to effectively manage and contribute to the success of The Triad Group companies.

A Fort Myers native and Bishop Verot High School graduate, Brett Peters pursued higher education at Emporia State University on a football scholarship. Returning to Fort Myers after college, Brett joined his family in the construction business. With hands-on experience in various trades and field management, Brett is a Lead CR (Lead Certified Renovator), adhering to EPA regulations for homes built before 1978. Brett’s diverse skill set and commitment contribute significantly to the success of The Triad Group and Triad Group Roofing, where he manages projects with a focus on craftsmanship and customer satisfaction

Fort Myers-born and raised, Brian Peters initiated his construction career at 14, working alongside his father, Mike, during summers. A Bishop Verot High School graduate in 1994, Brian is a State Certified Building Contractor and a Lead CR (Lead Certified Renovator). Committed to environmental protection, Brian ensures compliance with EPA regulations, particularly those pertaining to homes built before 1978. His early exposure and commitment to learning every trade equip him to excel as a Project Manager at The Triad Group and Triad Group Roofing, where he applies his knowledge to deliver projects with the highest standards of quality and safety.

Eric is a Florida native; he graduated from the University of Florida in 2001 (BS in Industrial & Systems Engineering) and moved to the Space Coast to begin his career in the Aerospace Industry. In 2020, Eric decided to return to his hometown and join his family in the construction business. Today, he plays a key role in overseeing operations for The Triad Group and Triad Group Roofing, bringing his skills in manufacturing process development, manufacturing leadership, and a solid foundation in lean Six Sigma tools. Eric’s education and over 20 years of process improvement experience position him to drive continuous improvement and make the business more efficient and effective.
